Why consider purchasing a property situated in a
rural area of Spain? It is important to consider the location, as we
have done.
Freila, in the province of Granada is where we are constructing
twelve, three bed family homes in what we feel is the ideal
location.
Freila is close to the A7 motorway, running the length of Spain. It
has easy access to airports and cities. Malaga, Alicante, Murcia and
Granada (now international) airports can all be used. Ryanair and
Monarch fly daily from Gatwick, Liverpool and Stanstead and internal
flights with Iberia from Madrid, Barcelona or Mallorca.
Freila is a
charming whitewashed Andalucian village. It has panoramic views over
the stunning Lake Negratin, and from your new home you can see the
fabulous Negratin reservoir. Three minutes’ drive will take you to
the man made beach where you can enjoy various water sports such as
canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, fishing or just pass the day
enjoying the stunning views of the unspoilt landscape. For the
adventurous, the Sierra Nevada ski resort is an hour’s drive away,
as is the coastal town of Mojacar and the all year round hot springs
in Zujac. Just a fifteen minute drive is the town of Baza. The city
of Granada is 106 km away. There are just over 1000 people living in
Freila. The cave dwellings make up the majority of the old part of
the village. There is a doctor’s surgery and the hospital in the
area is second to none. There is a primary school. The village has
plenty of local shops for all your daily shopping, banking, swimming
pool, library, bars and restaurant and Baza (16 km away) has a
street market on Wednesdays.
Our houses
have been constructed with the full cooperation of the Town Hall. We
have used local Freila manpower and top quality materials, resulting
in a quality home for all year round use. Our famous architects have
created a typical Andalucian style house with all the luxury of
state of the art home conveniences. The advantage of buying under
construction is that you can choose from a range of floor and wall
tiles and the style of kitchen and bathroom fittings. Our staff will
be delighted to show you a finished house and you can judge for
yourself the quality we have incorporated into your new home.
We have
arranged inspection visits, where you can stay at the comfortable
Cortijo Bacares cottage, set in the Sierra, a short distance from
